LOCATION

Sunshine College is a six-year-old newly-founded far-flung college of Fuzhou University of Fujian Province. The Foreign Languages Department of Sunshine College is committed to bringing up English majors at undergraduate level.

DESCRIPTION

We invite applications for Assistant Professors/Faculty Fellows in the area of ESL / EFL. We seek some outstanding interdisciplinary scholars in English language teaching, including (but not limited to) English /American literature, Western culture, and Western social customs and values, or related concerns. English linguistic perspectives are especially encouraged, with particular attention given to the questions of second language-acquisition on the communicative basis, and language sense cultivation.

TEACHING NEEDS

Primary Categories: Anglo-American Literature, Advanced Reading and Writing, Business Writing, Non-fiction Literature,

Secondary Categories: English listening and speaking, Visual FoxPro

This position requires you to perform the following duties:

• 16 hours classroom teaching / week
• 2 hours attendance at English Salon / week
• *Extra pay for extra work at the rate of ￥80/hr.

TIMING

The initial appointment will be for one year beginning Sep. 1, 2007, renewable annually for a maximum of three years.

EMPLOYMENT PACKAGE

Sunshine College is to provide you the following pay and other compensations on the basis of one year in 2 semesters:

• a salary of ￥50,000 in ten months.
• 1 round-trip international air-ticket for home visit.
• 1 local tour (within Fujian Province)
• free lodging
